CBG and Your Endocannabinoid System
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) plays an important role in maintaining homeostasis to keep all of your body's systems working properly. When something disrupts homeostasis, the ECS goes to work to restore balance.
There are two main types of ECS receptors: CB1 & CB2
1. CB1 Receptors: The highest concentration of receptors is in your brain and central nervous system, and it regulates your mood, memory, pain perception, appetite, and more!
2. CB2 Receptors: Mostly found in your immune system and are involved in regulating inflammation.
* The ECS works with all cannabinoids. CBG and CBGa bind directly to both main ECS receptors (CB1 & CB2), but CBD does NOT bind or activate them.
That's probably why CBG works!
